Please join Fourth Branch Action’s book club. We are a grassroots organizing/action group engaged in protecting/improving our democracy through civic engagement, legislative and electoral advocacy, and holding those elected to office accountable in ways that include thanks when they’ve done the right thing. We believe in learning along the way and so book club was born.
Our current book is “The Scheme: How the Right Wing Used Dark Money to Capture the Supreme Court,” by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse.
We will be discussing this book over 4 meetings, as follows:
March 26 Preface-Chapter 7 (112 pages)
April 9 Chapters 8-12 (81 pages)
April 23 Chapters 13-19 (100 pages)
May 14 Chapters 20-21, Acknowledgements, All Appendices, Notes (100 pages)
We hope that, in preparation for the final discussion, you’ll take the opportunity to exam some of his source materials, and will be prepared to discuss actions we can take.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month, 4-6pm PT/7-9pm ET.
